Nonprofits Unite to Create Equitable Access for Cycling

In May 2019, REI leadership and board members visited some of the co-op's Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit partners who are helping create access and connect more people to the outdoors. Featuring the Capital Trails Coalition’s work to build out an 800-mile local trail network across the D.C. metro area, as well as the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy’s Great American Rail-Trail, a project that will connect 3,700 miles of long-distance trails from D.C. to Washington state.
