Took Bruce the dog up to the Tops in Nelson Lakes, New Zealand for an overnight winter Tarp camp. All the gear is mentioned at the beginning of the video. Any questions let me know.

As requested by many here is a 10 hour video of rain sounds on my tent/tarp from my latest overnight camping in the rain. Hopefully this helps with meditation, studying or insomnia. I have looped some previous video for 20 mins too. Obviously Bruce gets a cameo. Sleep well!

Had to snuggle together under the wool blanket though on the last morning. Oh, and I almost lost my firewood in the river!

A one night wild camp with Bruce at 1300m in some pretty bad conditions. Heavy rain and strong winds but I stayed warm with a campfire and very good gear. Used my trusty MSR Hubba Hubba NX2 tent and my 3x2m Aquaquest Guide Tarp. Cooked a delicious Chicken Chili on the Trangia and had some testy brews too! And a couple of cigars of course. This was a great trip across a lake to an ancient beech forest. No rain for a change but it was SO close as you'll see from the drone footage. Stayed in the @Hilleberg The Tentmaker Staika with an Aquaquest tarp. Cooked up some great curry over my new Trangia 25 and a campfire. Hope you enjoy!

Two nights at 1400m with Bruce in the heavy rain and then snow in a Hilleberg Unna Tent. Coldest night of the year in New Zealand, -10c plus a windchill of -20c. Had a great time (for most of it) and Bruce obviously enjoyed himself as usual!

A one night truck tent camp in the rain with my Ford Ranger 4x4. The NZ$800 Canadian built Napier Outdoors Sportz Truck tent was awful, not waterproof at all. Should come with a danger sign! Crossing the river twice was fun but luckily I left when I did before the storm hit as it would have been impassable the next morning. We'd have been stranded. The food was great even though I did forget some essential items. As usual nothing goes 100% right. Hope you enjoy the video though!

What was meant to be a 2 night car camp in moderate rain turned into an unmitigated disaster. Out of nowhere a red weather warning was issued after I'd setup camp. Gale force winds destroyed my camp. Hope you enjoy!

Bruce and I spent 2 nights in the wilderness for a very wet hammock camp in the rain. I took 2 hammocks: @OneTigris KOMPOUND and@Warbonnet Outdoors Blackbird XLC. Tried them one night each. Also had my @Enlightened Equipment Revelation top quilt and my​ @Outdoor Vitals under quilt. Oh and I almost set fire to the entire camp when my Trangia 27 fell over and the fuel split everywhere. Big flames.
