I say 30 quarts in the video, but it's actually a 60 quart cooler. It's nice and rugged, and a far less expensive option for weekend trips or friendly BBQ. They state it holds ice for 5 days. My non-scientific test confirmed two full 20lb bags lasted 5 days. Spent a day at Joshua Tree and 4 days at home. A harsher test was a weekend trip to Death Valley where a bag and a half lasted me the entire weekend. Daytime temps reached low 100s 2 of the 3 days I was there. Why spend $200-$300 just for a name, when this does a similar job.

When we tested our first budget cooler (Lifetime 55) the only complaint we had was that the lid bowed in when sitting on the cooler. This led to even more questions after we tested a new round of cheaper coolers.
In this test we wanted to sit and stand on the lids of these coolers to see how the cooler would hold up. To be fair, many of these coolers are not intended to be used as seats, but we know the reality is many people may do just that. In this review we compare all the top coolers with wheels to see how they handle different terrain ( asphalt, grass & sand). The biggest test for these coolers was rolling through sand. Most coolers, especially the coolers with small wheels bog down in the sand and essentially become dragging dead weight. There are a few exceptions to this.... see video.
We also noticed that many wheeled coolers or rolling coolers have very similar wheels. The most common wheel size across many brands seem to function relatively well, even in sand. Having said that, there was still one clear winner when it came to rolling over various terrain. The hands down winner and what we consider the perfect beach cooler for sand is the Igloo Trailmate.
