Out kiting / ground handling the Edel Power Atlas paraglider again.

Day 6 kiting. Out with the harness again. Only had a few minutes.

Day 7 kiting. Decided to just kite by hand today. Went well enough. Got a couple of good inflations with several not so good ones. Had an audience of kids to watch.The kids really get a kick out of it.

Day 8 kiting. After hand kiting for a bit I put on the harness and tried running down the hill with a forward launch. Tried to get some lift... just enough to land on my butt.

This wing is the Ozone Element 3 in a medium size (22 square meter). Though we would never attempt to fly in this wind, we figured it'd be some good practice. The video was mostly made for entertainment but a close study could be worthwhile when learning how the wing reacts and what you should (or shouldn't) do in certain situations.

Mike Robinson, owner of BlackHawk Paramotors USA, took his son Jake to Pacifica Ca for some kiting practice. The father-son duo spent the day creating memories and enjoying the late-season California sun. By the end of the day, Jake gained enough skills to handle the glider by himself. "I wish more families would share the Powered Paragliding experience together. My son and I had an amazing time and I know he will remember it forever," commented Mike Robinson.

This is my first time kiting a paraglider! It's an Edel Power Atlas Paraglider. Ground handling can be a blast.

Little wind. Inflated great. Not as easy as it looks to control. I can see why it's good to take a lot of time practicing this. Also first time my son Drake tried kiting.

A lot of pilots don't enjoy launching their paraglider wing when the wind is stronger than usual.

Sometimes this means missing out on perfect flying conditions. So I thought I'd share some little tips and cheats to help any pilots wanting to improve their ground handling skills and confidence.
