What difference does it make if a glider is short or tall? We decided to find out by making some extensions for the RoadRunner and going out and testing it.
Results are... interesting! It feels more docile and things take a little while to happen, so that's nice. It's also nearly impossible to fly as it feels mega weird and the pendulum effect screws with your brain.

Out kiting with the Edel Power Atlas paraglider. I'm getting better with plenty of room to grow.
Day 13 kiting. Had some time in the evening, so ran down to a hill my friend had found for his RC Versa Wing. He ended up meeting me there and flew his wing around while I kited mine. Some good wind but it died off.
Day 14 kiting. Took the family down to Destin FL. Where there is a beach, one should fly kites, especaily big ones. Unfortunately, there were a bit too many people and I was having a hard time keeping sand out of the wing. I did get in a few minutes fo kiting though and had a fellow paramotorist fly by.

Filmed these with the Sony Action Cam AS30 and iPad Mini. Used iMovie to put them together.
Paragliding in high wind is a very important skill to have as a paragliding pilot. Training take offs, launching and ground handling in strong wind is a fun way to get to know your wing better and getting comfortable with high wind situations. Ground handling in strong wind and mastering your paragliding skills can take a while but is totally worth. So here are some good tips on how to place your paraglider in the wind, which lines you need to grab if you wanna gain control over your wing and how to take off.
#Paragliding #Groundhandling #Paraglidingtips
The wind was around 25-30 km/h fast but I had moments of complete calm conditions for couple of minutes at a time. When I hiked on top of the mountain the wind was at least 30 km/h strong and it kept its strenght pretty much all the time. After managing a sketchy launch, I flew straight over the landing site and I executed the deepest and best spiral. It was like the cherry on top of the cake. Enjoy watching the video!

Mastering the art of Reverse Launching is key to building confidence in your paragliding career. Not only does it give you the ability to launch safely in a wider variety of wind conditions and locations, but it helps to give you a feel for how your paraglider will react in varying wind conditions.
The beauty of paragliding is that you can practice some of the trickiest parts of paragliding without ever leaving the ground!
In this video we show you two methods to reverse launch your paraglider, including how to simplify the lead up so that you can be sure you have everything ready to go before committing to launch.
Please remember that this video is meant as an aid to training or a refresher on what you have already learned, and not as a replacement. You should NEVER attempt to fly without first having being taught by a professional in a professional environment.

Paragliders often make these mistakes when kiting and launching. Grabbing the lines above the risers, pulling the risers up and away, deflecting the lines as opposed to pulling them! This video will give you some tips on how to kite better and be more in control of your glider.
