Bruce and I spent 2 nights in the wilderness for a very wet hammock camp in the rain. I took 2 hammocks: @OneTigris KOMPOUND and@Warbonnet Outdoors Blackbird XLC. Tried them one night each. Also had my @Enlightened Equipment Revelation top quilt and my​ @Outdoor Vitals under quilt. Oh and I almost set fire to the entire camp when my Trangia 27 fell over and the fuel split everywhere. Big flames.

With raw authenticity, Analise shares all the intimate foibles, fear, fun, and beauty of discovering her place in the outdoors. Laura’s snow safety work protected both resort skiers and backcountry skiers from avalanches.  At Mt. Hood Meadows, Laura’s job at ski patrol included skiing into avalanche-prone terrain before the skiing public arrives and detonating explosives that trigger avalanches.  By pre-triggering avalanches, it prevents them from being able to roll down on skiers during business hours at the resort.  It keeps in-bounds skiers safe.  She was also a professional “observer” for Northwest Avalanche Center, collecting field data that would be translated into backcountry forecasts.  Both jobs are the kind you don’t want to mess up.  Laura shouldered the weight of that responsibility to keep the public safe and enjoyed her duties.

I started to carve a new Kuksa. While it was drying in my shed it cracked. I've since had some great advice from friends on Instagram to help avoid cracking in the future. So I started a new carving on this trip. I didn't film the first part as it was pretty much the same as the last video.

I've been testing some new camping kit. A game changer for our camping set up is the PowerOak EB150 1500wh Power Station and the Dometic CDF26 Fridge. Along with the 'Apple like' build quality of the Olight Perun Head Torch.

As we continue to refine the set up ready for longer trips, power and refrigeration are crucial to making life as easy as possible. It's holiday enjoyment and camping comfort we're aiming for with our Jimny build so while I'm obviously a kit junkie these items especially can make a big difference. Long term they are worth the investment.

A: I'm not a skilled wood carver. This is now my third attempt at making a Kuksa. It's a fun camping pastime to help relax. I'm still learning.

A: The Jimny is a tool for me to get to camp in a simple, lightweight set up that offers good comfort. I don't do a lot of off-roading. There are many other channels to see what a Jimny is capable of on YouTube.

I had so much fun making this and being a bartender for a day! Disclaimer: drink responsibly, camp responsibly, and go wild with your cocktail mixing.

Earl Grey Infused Gin: 00:59
2oz Gin
1 Earl Grey Tea Bag
Instant Lemonade powder
12-16oz of Water - follow directions on whichever instant lemonade you choose
Infuse tea into gin for at least 10 mins. Add instant lemonade and water. Enjoy!

Candied Fruit Infused Whiskey: 2:22
2oz Whiskey or liquor of choice
Dried or candied fruit of choice (I used ginger and candied orange peel)
Muddle or just let fruit and whiskey infuse!

Bishop Boulders Bourbon Smash: 4:32
2oz Whiskey
1 Satsuma (or mandarin or tangerine)
1 Packet of Raw or Brown Sugar
Muddle satsuma in whiskey with sugar until sugar dissolves. Optional: add water!

Palomita: 6:41
2oz Tequila
1 Wedge of fresh lime
1/2 can of grapefruit soda
1-3 Shakes of Tajin
Squeeze lime into cup. Add tequila, soda, and a few shakes of Tajin

The High Maintenance: 8:35
Serves 2
4oz Whiskey
1½ oz Sweet Vermouth
½ oz Fresh Orange Juice
1 spoonful of maraschino cherries w/syrup
1-3 Dashes of bitters
Mix all ingredients in a thermos. Shake or stir well.

2 Friends, 4,700 miles, 1 mission: Pick up trash! The short film, 'Leave It Better' documents Seth Orme and Abby Taylor’s bike ride across America. Their route took them from Georgia to Washington State, including a circuit of stops at National Forests, scenic areas, campgrounds, etc., hosting trash cleanups and conservation-theme clinics as they rode.

For 5 months, their goal was to explore the country, meet people, spread the word on 'Packing It Out,' and continue their message of environmental stewardship. At each destination, whether alone or with a group, Orme and Taylor cleaned up trash, totaling more than 2,100 pounds over the course of the trip.
