How to Train for Stand Up Paddle Boarding || REI
A several hour SUP tour will re-introduce you to muscles you haven’t been in touch with for a while. The eight exercises Dr. Sam shows in this video are designed to increase strength, endurance and balance in the legs, hips, abdominal area and back. A few exercises also build endurance in shoulder and arm muscles that you’ll be moving continuously as you do paddle strokes.
In this video, we’ll show you the following exercises:
Skater with Uppercut—0:45
Single-Leg Deadlift—1:14
Chop—1:54

Squat and Row—3:04
Side Plank with Leg Raise—3:40
Step Up with Lateral Leg Raise—4:16
