Leapers are a technique that’s used to change edges quickly by getting your snowboard off the ground. Learning to do a leaper is a key skill in riding through soft snow and down steep terrain. In this REI Expert Advice Video, Lauren Barnes, from the American Association of Snowboard Instructors, explains how to initiate and land leapers. My name is Lauren Barnes. I'm with the American Association of Snowboard Instructors. Leapers are a great tactic to use for soft snow, steeps and ungroomed soft terrain. The main focus of a leaper is to be changing edges off of the ground. So as I initiate my turn, I'm going to get nice and low and I'm going to flex my ankles, knees and hips. As I'm getting ready to change edges, I'm going to pop up and extend hard so my snowboard comes up off of the snow. That's when I'm going to change my edges. As my new edge comes in contact with the snow I'm going to flex down to make for a nice soft landing so my snowboard can ride out smoothly and I don't put too much impact on my body. I'm going to continue that flex down into the new turn so I'm ready to initiate the next one.

The derailleur hanger connects the derailleur to the bike frame. If the hanger gets damaged or bent, you’ll need to replace it. In this video, we show you how to remove the rear derailleur and derailleur hanger, install a new hanger and reinstall the rear derailleur. If your derailer takes a hit during your ride, the derailer hanger is there to absorb the impact. If the hanger gets damaged or bent, you'll need to replace it. You'll need a hex wrench, bike cleaner, and bike grease. Start by taking the rear wheel off your bike.
Loosen and remove the bolt that connects the derailer to the hanger. It's fine to let the derailer hang from the shift cable while you work. Now remove the hanger insert from the drop outs on the frame. Some hangers will have two halves to remove. Before installing the replacement hanger, clean off the drop out area.
Then lubricate both the inside and outside of the frame. Now you can install the new hanger and tighten it into place. Grease up the threads on the derailer mounting bolt and reconnect the derailer. It's best to use a torque wrench to tighten the bolt to the manufacturer's specified torque.
Now re-install the rear wheel and make sure the gears are shifting normally. To recap, remove the rear wheel. Then remove the derailer from the hanger and the hanger from the frame. Install the new hanger. Replace the derailer and the wheel and shift through the gears.

\Here is a Review on the Columbia Watertight II Rain coat by Project Still Beating. This is a nice light weight rain coat. The coat says water resistant but we had no issues at all staying dry as a bone.

Cảm ơn Taki đã tạo điều kiện cho mình trải nghiệm tour không tưởng: Leo Fansipan 1 ngày cùng với những người đồng đội yêu dấu! Chúng tôi đã vượt qua muôn vàn khó khăn để có thể lên đỉnh cùng nhau trong một ngày thời tiết siêu đẹp. Và khi lên đỉnh, chúng tôi mới thấy tự hào làm sao, thậm chí những khách du lịch còn trầm trồ nghe chúng tôi chia sẻ về hành trình đúng là không tưởng: Leo từ 6h tới 2h lên tới nơi.
Chúng tôi cũng đã gặp rất nhiều khó khăn trên đường lên đỉnh Fansipan, nhưng chúng tôi đã cùng vượt qua. Nếu các bạn đi trải nghiệm leo núi Fansipan, mình khuyên các bạn nên trải nghiệm nó 2 ngày, và nhớ mang đầy đủ đồ leo núi cùng với găng tay và áo mưa. Không nên mang theo máy ảnh to cồng kềnh vì sẽ làm chậm bước chân của các bạn nha!
