La nuova vela di casa Niviuk sembra avere ottime prestazioni .
Ha un ottimo gonfiaggio e non ho trovato nessuna difficoltà.
Ho volato la vela, taglia M, una decina di ore e mi sono confrontato con vari piloti che l’hanno acquistata ,da quello che abbiamo constatato, ha una planata veramente incredibile.
Sono riuscito a fare delle comparazioni con Enzo 3 ,taglia M, carica 108 su 115, e X-One 107 su 112, da quello che abbiamo potuto constatare la X-One sembra avere circa 1 kmh in più di velocità .
Sempre con Enzo 3, taglia M, abbiamo provato a mani alte e con la prima pedalina ,sembrano essere molto simili.
Ho provato con Enzo 3, taglia Xl, carica 128,5 su 130, e X-One 107 su 112, sembrano avere stessa efficenza e stessa velocità massima, la X-One era un pò più scarica , quindi da valutare con stessa differenza di peso.
La vela è molto compatta e stabile , in virata stretta è un pò più dura rispetto Enzo 3, tende a virare piatta ma con un’incredibile salita.
I comandi sono ben bilanciati e le B molto morbide e reattive.
Non ho ancora elementi per capire il comportamento in turbolenza forte, ma parlando con piloti che hanno trovato condizioni migliori, più corpose, hanno riferito che la vela è stabile, con normali comportamenti in questa categoria, CCC.
Le reali prestazioni si vedranno in gara ,sperando di confermare tale recensione positiva .

new Niviuk wing seems to have excellent performances.
It has an excellent inflation and I have not found any difficulty.
I flew the wing, size M, about ten hours and I compared myself with various pilots who bought it. From what we have seen, it has a truly incredible glide.
I managed to make comparisons with Enzo 3, size M, loaded 108 on 115, and X-One loaded 107 on 112, from what we could see the X-One seems to have about 1 kmh higher top speed.
Always with Enzo 3, size M, we tried with high hands and with the first speedbar, they seem to be very similar.
I tried with Enzo 3, size Xl, loaded 128.5 on 130, and X-One loaded 107 on 112, they seem to have the same efficiency and the same maximum speed, the X-One was a little less loaded, therefore to be evaluated with the same wingload.
The wing is very compact and stable, in a tight turn the brake is a little harder than Enzo 3, it tends to turn flat but with an incredible climb.
The brakes are well balanced and the B are very soft and responsive.
 I still have no elements to understand the behavior in strong turbulence, but speaking with pilots who have found better, more generous conditions, they reported that the wing is stable, with normal behavior in this category, CCC.
The real performances will be seen in the race, hoping to confirm this positive review.

Today we are coming to you with the new video comparison of two self-standing 2 person tents from different price categories. One tent would be really cheap – Quechua MH100 this one. And one on a more expensive side – MSR Elixir 2. They have similar weight and dimensions and we wanted to explore what would be the major differences. So the MSR tent we bought just recently as an upgrade for our backpacking trips. And this Quechua tent we’ve had almost for two years now and it was used mostly by our family members when they were coming to visit us and we stayed in the campgrounds. Kick turns are an effective way to change directions on skis and learning to do them is a key skill for exploring off-piste terrain. In this REI Expert Advice video, Mac Lyon, from the Professional Ski Instructors of America, explains the steps involved in doing a kick turn, including where to place your poles, how to bring your downhill ski around, shifting your weight and how to bring your uphill ski around.

I'm Mac Lyon from the Professional Ski Instructors of America. Kick turns are awesome tools to be able to use to change direction without losing any sort of elevation. I use kick turns whenever I encounter terrain that I don't want to ski. Whether that be cliff, or if the snow conditions aren't very good.

To do a kick turn, what I want to do is I want to take my downhill hand and pole. Place it uphill and behind me. I'm using both of my poles and my uphill foot to really establish my balance point. I'm trying to place my weight evenly amongst those 3 points. I want to kick my downhill leg, move it forward and upward, in a sweeping motion until my downhill foot is facing the opposite direction. I want to shift my weight onto that downhill leg. Once you've found that balance point, pick your uphill hand and foot, step them around to match the foot that you moved originally, and push on out of the terrain.

Kick turns are incredibly necessary in steep, technical terrain, but are used everywhere on the ski hill. If I'm at the lodge and I want to turn around quickly without running into anybody, I'm going to use a kick turn. If I get off the chair, I'm facing the wrong way, and there's people strapping in, I'm going to use a kick turn. It's really, really useful for day-to-day skiing.
